It is easy to go to confession. When we stand before the priest, there is usually a list of sins available. We can look at it and be reminded of our sins.
FIFTH WEEK OF GREAT LENT
In the Divine Services for the fifth week of Great Lent the Holy Church continues to call us to an active bearing of the Lenten efforts, appealing: “Through abstinence the faithful have a fortress with God, through others let us youthfully run the holy course”.
PREPARING FOR CONFESSION
Enter the Church and wash away your sins.
For here there is a hospital and not a court of law.
Do not be ashamed to enter the Church;
be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent.”

ACQUIRING A PENITENTIAL FEELING
The priest is waiting for the person to confess, but the latter is waiting for the priest to ask him questions. It is time to confess, but the person is silent, so the priest starts asking, “So, what are your sins?” The person replies, “Well, all kinds of them...”
